The audio icons, when pressed should play an audio file, but for some reason that is not being saved in the USDZ file. Anyone know why this is happening?

Have you tried saving as Reality file and uploading? Reality file can also be shared via the browser.

Same issue with .reality files as well. The audio plays fine when testing on the MacBook and sending it to the iPhone/iPad Reality Composer app. It's just the exported file that doesn't work for some reason.

I’ve had some issues with audio files not working as expected. But generally audio does work with Voice memo’s app and wav file format is pretty good.

I'll try converting the files to .wav and see if that works.

I’m using audio in many of my own USDZ scenes without issues. Check out freesound.org great audio file resources with compatible wav format. Licenses are Creative Commons types so you can share & reuse in own works.

I tested an audio file tap behavior with a simple cube and while it plays locally, the uploaded .USDZ file does not play any sound. I'm at my wits end. 🙁

Found the issue in case someone else has the same problem:
Lo and behold was working the whole time. I had my phone on silent mode, which in the vast majority of cases still plays web audio. I turned off silent mode and voila.
