USDZSHARE is owned and operated by Fusion AR Pty Ltd – a web development company specialising in augmented reality application development. Our company has been an early adopter of the USDZ & Apple’s Reality file framework and has been collaborating and working with several 3D/AR companies in this space since it began.
Why a USDZ & Reality File Sharing Platform?
It’s fairly obvious that the current web is gradually moving towards a 3D internet… this is evident with more & more product and services are now incorporating 3D & AR content into their website and mobile offerings. USDZ is an open file format currently optimised for creating and sharing 3D Augmented Reality assets via mobile web-based devices. The file format is designed to be shared via email, iMessage & via web-browser CMS. It currently only has support on the iOS 12, 13, 14 & IpadOS mobile operating system. But well-known companies like Adobe & Shopify have already added support for the format in some of their CMS offerings.
USDZ or Reality (iOS13Beta) files do not require a specialised mobile app to view, they have native support on iOS, which makes USDZ files extremely deployable in all sorts of ways – iMessage, emails, Websites, Browser Apps, file System etc.
USDZ Conversion Service
It is fairly common knowledge that USDZ is hard to convert from well-know 3D interchange file formats such as OBJ, FBX, DAE, glTF. USDZ animations are particularly tricky to get working. Fusion AR has worked out the steps required to get most 3D animations working (as you can see by checking out the Users Gallery of examples). We’re offering a free USDZ conversion for up to 10 models to be converted for each registered user. At some stage we may offer a paid service.
Reality Composer & the Interactive AR Web
With the release of Apple’s new Reality Composer app & reality file format, its become more important than ever to have a place to share your custom USDZ files. Custom USDZ files are the only open 3D file type importable into Reality Composer app. This makes a platform like USDZSHARE which facilitates shareable exchange of USDZ & amp; reality files all the more important. Interactive Reality files can be imported into Reality Composer like a component & can help rapidly assemble a more complex multi-scene AR asset.

Social Login – Easy to Sign Up
Social Login is single sign-on for end users. Using existing login information from a social network provider like Facebook, Twitter, or Google, you can sign into a USDZSHARE instead of creating a new account specifically. This simplifies registrations and logins for our users.
