I created this as a proof of concept that it's possible to make games for AR Quicklook. The options in realtime interaction seem to be very limited and the physics engine is a bit crappy – but somehow I hacked it 🙂 The whole game is created by just using Cinema 4d, Reality Converter and Reality Composer.

I just changed the category of this file

Its great. Love the idea of using “Look At Camera” to control the swing mechanism… that was clever! Do you know transparent png can be imported into Reality Composer and used for out_bounds collision triggers? It may improve the game to add that around the perimeter maybe…so the ball comes back to the start or at least finishes the game without waiting for time-out?

"so the ball comes back to the start or at least finishes the game without waiting for time-out?"
You mean a timeout when the ball was kicked out of the field? There is a collider when the ball runs out of the fild below the trigger. I could put a transparent object all over the playing area that keep s the ball on the field, that should work too.
To prevent a timeout on the field, the walls on the left and right give the ball an impulse a bit less then 90° when it collides with it, making it go upward slowly to the blocks - this is not physical correct, but it keeps the game from beeing trapped in a loop. It takes its time to go up, but it goes up :-).
Also that I can't manipulate that the speed of the ball decreases over time and distance- what makes it nessesary to give it an impulse every time it touches one of the walls or the trigger is not optimal. I'd love to keep the speed of the ball all over the game.
What sort of hacks did you use in the matching pair game ? How did they work? It is not possible so see any more how it was supposed to be when starting the file of your game.

Sometimes the ball goes over the barriers. You would need to put a transparent collider behind the barriers to capture those kind of conditions. Balls can also break thru barriers sometimes. I’m not sure if that is a speed or barrier thickness issue. But it can occur.,

The Countdown is a problem, once started the behavior it goes its way to the end. I need to have something like an interrupt for the whole behavior. How to do this, i have not found out at the moment, I am not sure if something like an Interrupt is planed to exist in AR Quicklook anyway. I could change the whole scene to the "Win" screen-scene, but that that does not feel good while playing. I do a scene change when clicking the "play again" Button. I tried out the transparent collider on top of the playing Area, but everything below then is not chlickable anymore.

Reality Composer hasn’t been updated for a long time. I no longer hold much hope for major updates. I feel Apple did the tool to show case USDZ & AR Quick Look to app developers. Third-party apps tools like Aero, Shapr3D, Nomad, Procreate now support USDZ. My only hope is we get better tools when Apple glasses or HMD drops at some stage.
